Our breakfast club and after school club (Discovery Den) are open to all children from Reception to Year 6.

Our Breakfast Club and After School Club aims to: 

• Provide a happy, safe, warm, and stimulating environment for all children to play, learn and develop freely. 
• Help children to develop responsibility for themselves and their actions; to become competent, confident, and co-operative individuals. 
• Encourage children to have a positive attitude and respect for both themselves and other people. 
• Promote a positive relationship with parents and carers, working in partnership with them to provide high quality play and care for their children. 

Discovery Den is committed to meeting the needs of parents and carers by: 

• Listening and responding to their views and concerns. 
• Keeping them informed of policies, procedures. 
• Sharing and discussing their child’s achievements, experiences, progress, and friendships, along with any difficulties that may arise. 

Discovery Den is committed to providing: 

• Care and activities that put the safety and needs of the children first. 
• Activities that are interesting, educational, stimulating and fun. 
• Activities that promote each child’s social, physical, moral, and intellectual development. 
• A team of staff that are experienced, well trained and supported within the school environment. 
• An environment where everyone feels safe including from discrimination.   

Meals

Breakfast Club:

Children are provided with a breakfast if they arrive before 8:10. There is a range of hot and cold food available.

Discovery Den:

All children are given a healthy snack on arrival.

For children staying until 6:00pm a light meal will be provided. 

Booking

Most children are booked in advance into regular sessions for both before and after school club. We sometimes have availability for last minute bookings. We use an online system called Childcare-online-booking (CoB) were parents can book and make payments.
