We held a Religious Education Reflection Day, on the 11th October; we focused on a wonderful story called ‘Only One You’ by Linda Kranz.
‘Only One You’ is an inspirational children’s book about a little fish who is about to go and explore the ocean on his own. His parents tell him some of the important lessons they have learned throughout their lives in hope that it will help their son on his journey. It shows a deep love between parents and their child, sharing wisdom they have gained over the years, which we as parents hope will be embraced and stored away until they are needed.
The story encourages children to make meaningful connections and understanding that they, in their own way, can truly make a difference in their own lives and in the lives of others around them.
One of the activities the children took part in was designing and decorating a stone to celebrate their own uniqueness which will be displayed around the school grounds.
