Tudor Day – Year 5 and 6

On Wednesday 22nd March as part of their ‘Kings and Queens’ Topic, Year 5 and 6 held a Tudor Day. They came to school dress in Tudor costumes and spent the morning making Flatbreads, Vegetable Pottage Stew (a typical Tudor meal for a poor family) and Banbury Cakes (similar to an Eccles cake).

The afternoon was all about being creative making Tudor Thrones for King Henry V111, sewing elaborate cushions for him to sit on and listening to Tudor music.

Thank you to all the parents for the amazing costumes, for the parents who offered their services to help for the day and to Year 5 and 6 you all looked fabulous!
